Gábor FORRAI received his PhD at the University of Notre Dame
in 1994. From 1994 to 1997 he worked at the Institute of Philosophy of
the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Since then he has taught at the University
of Miskolc, where he is now professor at the Department of History of Philosophy.
He has published several papers on the philosophy of science, the philosophy
of language and the philosophy of mind. His recent publications include
Reference, Truth and Conceptual Schemes (Dordrecht/Boston/London:
Kluwer, 2001), and the selected papers of W. V. Quine in Hungarian (Budapest:
Osiris, 2002.). He is currently working on a book on Locke's epistemology.
