GROUNDED THEORY AS A MEANS OF USER-CENTRED DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF MOBILE LEARNING SYSTEMS

Abstract

The Learning Technology Research Group is using Grounded Theory as a methodology for studying students' uses of learning management systems. We are also actively involved in research into the effective use of mobile technologies in supporting our students, to complement use of LMS and other technologies in use at Kingston. Based on our evidence of Grounded Theory working in LMS research, we propose to use this to inform the design and evaluation of our mobile learning systems.
